School Organization Tips

Hey there!

I've been crazy busy lately, so I figured I would share some tips that help me stay sane when school gets crazy!

First of all, one of the most important things would be to keep a binder, and keep it clean and organized!

If you notice, my tabs are separated by class and section. I create a new tab for each set of exam chapters/materials. It helps a lot with studying for exams.

Another tip is to hole punch and date every handout you get. It keeps things organized and easier to find. When it's dated, you can keep track of everything even when you miss a lecture.

Make sure your notes are legible and easy to understand. If you have sloppy handwriting when you write fast (like me), rewrite your notes. Not only will it make it easier to study, but by rewriting the information, it's easier to retain.

KEEP A PLANNER. My planner helps me keep school due dates and exam dates. It also keeps the rest of my life in order with tasks, appointments, meals, work out scheduling, and a lot more. Use colored pens and highlighters to make it colorful and organized with color-coding.

My planner has the day-by-day section on the left side, and an open page on the right. I separate my tasks by what aspect of my life they are from. (School, wedding planning, to-do/get, and work). It helps a ton in remembering what I need to accomplish that week.

Hope this helps some of you in keeping school stuff organized!

Grocery Shopping!

I like to grocery shop at night, when there isn't as many people. I might start doing it during the day before Publix closes though, because I'm getting really tired of Walmart's low quality produce and the fact that they're ALWAYS out of things I need! GRR.

Anyways, here's an example of my short grocery list:

I say "short" because a lot of the time, I'll still have stuff left over from last week to use! Every couple of weeks, I'll have a long list of groceries because I run out of things!

I also like to list the things according to where they are located in the store:
Produce, meats, cold stuff, grocery (dry) items, and non-grocery items.

It helps a lot when it comes to spending less time in the store!

Have a happy week!
